How Solace Advocates Work With
Veterans
Yes, and many veterans do. VA benefits and Medicare are separate programs with different coverage rules, but they can work together depending on the type of care you need. The same is true if you carry other insurance—VA and insurance coordination is one of the most common challenges veterans face. Your Solace advocate coordinates your care across every system and helps you understand how all your coverage works together. See if you're eligible.
Your advocate researches and identifies doctors and specialists who work within your benefits and insurance coverage, getting you in front of the right provider as quickly as possible. Whether you need a primary care physician, a specialist, or a second opinion, your advocate handles the search, confirms your coverage, and gets you scheduled so you're not navigating referrals and waitlists alone.
Solace isn’t affiliated with the VA and is not covered through VA benefits. However, Solace is covered by Medicare and many major insurance plans nationwide, including UnitedHealthcare, Anthem BCBS, and others. This means most veterans can get a dedicated healthcare expert to help them navigate their benefits, coordinate care between the VA and their other insurance, and make the most of every benefit available to them.
Solace and DAV do not share any data with one another as part of this partnership. If you choose to work with a Solace advocate, you decide what information to share. Solace is a HIPAA-compliant platform. Any information you provide is used solely to support your care. Your advocate and the systems needed to coordinate your care are the only ones with access, and only with your permission. You may also choose to share information with loved ones.
