Yes, and many veterans do. VA benefits and Medicare are separate programs with different coverage rules, but they can work together depending on the type of care you need. The same is true if you carry private insurance—VA and private insurance coordination is one of the most common challenges veterans face. Your Solace advocate provides guidance across Medicare, private insurance, and VA healthcare, and helps you understand how all your coverage works together.
